Today, I\u2019m sharing how I\u2019m getting ready for her by organizing baby bathroom essentials, while tying it all into my usual cleaning routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading font-bold text-h3 leading-[40px] pt-[21px] pb-[2px] [&amp;_a]:underline-offset-[6px] [&amp;_.underline]:underline-offset-[6px]\">The Nesting Instinct is Real<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">The urge to nest is like no other\u2014it\u2019s deeply ingrained and almost impossible to ignore. The only thing that could MAYBE stop us moms on a mission is the back pain, lightning crotch, fatigue, and nausea. \ud83d\ude1b Throughout my pregnancy, I\u2019ve REALLY looked forward to nesting (does that make me weird??) but nothing could prepare me for how strong the desire became in my third trimester. Knowing our baby girl is on her way makes everything feel SO much more real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">I\u2019ve waited so long for this moment. I definitely was one of those girls that dreams of being a mommy someday. Preparing a place for our baby in our home and lives has been both surreal and emotional. The thought that the home her dad and I have built together will also become the home where we\u2019ll love and nurture our daughter fills me with joy\u2014and maybe a few tears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading font-bold text-h3 leading-[40px] pt-[21px] pb-[2px] [&amp;_a]:underline-offset-[6px] [&amp;_.underline]:underline-offset-[6px]\">Starting the Day with My Trusted Cleaning Routine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">On this particular Tuesday, I decided to pair my cleaning routine with the extra tasks that nesting demanded. Following my normal habits helped reduce any feelings of overwhelm, so I began the day with my Tuesday cleaning schedule. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/radio.domesticdaydreams.com\/opt-in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(I use podcast cleaning routine episodes ft. Today, I turned my attention to her bathroom items. Over the course of my pregnancy, I\u2019ve gradually collected everything she\u2019ll need for bathtime. From tiny baby towels to practical tools like a foldable bath and grooming supplies, I couldn\u2019t wait to get it all organized. (And not sitting piled in a basket anymore!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading font-bold text-h4 leading-[30px] pt-[15px] pb-[2px] [&amp;_a]:underline-offset-[6px] [&amp;_.underline]:underline-offset-[6px]\">Setting Up a Portable Bath Kit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">I wanted to create a portable bath kit that would work wherever we might be bathing her\u2014whether it\u2019s in the sink, tub, or even at Grandma\u2019s house. Everything fits perfectly into a small container for easy transport. Here\u2019s what I included in the kit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list text-body list-disc pl-8 py-1.5 [&amp;_ul]:pl-4 [&amp;_ul]:py-0 [&amp;_ol]:pl-4 [&amp;_ol]:py-0\">\n<li>A foldable baby bath (I chose the Frida Mom one).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A bathtub thermometer shaped like a cute white seal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A whale-shaped rinse cup for pouring water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gentle baby skincare products like Cetaphil wash and lotion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">Everything was pre-washed and ready to go, which made the grooming and medical items organized, I used a compact case that matches my diaper bag. Our one-bedroom only has a single closet, so we\u2019ve repurposed an antique armoire with baskets to create her little \u201ccloset.\u201d It has been the perfect solution for keeping everything tidy and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-body font-regular leading-[24px] pt-[9px] pb-[2px]\">Pre-washed towels and rolled washcloths went into their own dedicated baskets, placed neatly on the top shelf.
