Hey, Domestic Darling! I don’t know about you, but as much as I love the clean scent of many storebought/chemical cleaners my body and health just DO NOT react well to them! If you can relate, and are you tired of nasty chemicals sneaking into your home with your cleaning products, I totally get it. As queens of our castles, it’s normal to worry about the safety of our families. But guess what? I’ve got the scoop on some all-natural cleaning recipes that will keep your place sparkling without the yucky stuff.

Today, I’m spilling my top three favorite recipes that have totally changed the homemaking game for me. These easy peasy gems will not only bring fun back to your cleaning routine but also give your family a safe, happy space to thrive in. Let’s dive in and make our homes sparkle, babes!

Now for my Top 3 Natural Cleaning Supply Recipes

Recipe #1: Disinfecting Spray

The first recipe I want to share is a Disinfecting Spray. Many natural cleaning recipes aren’t necessarily disinfectants, (vinegar honey, I’m looking at you) but when you’re working in the kitchen or the bathroom, you’ll want a cleaner that actually disinfects. This non-toxic option is always SO nice to have on hand.

Non-toxic Disinfecting Spray Recipe

  • 1 and 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 a cup of vodka or rubbing alcohol (this is the disinfectant!)
  • You can also add 7-15 drops of essential oil if you want a scent that lingers after cleaning.

This is great for anything you want to disinfect — the sink, countertops, fridge, bathroom counters, the toilet, and more.

Recipe #2: Glass Cleaner

My second go-to cleaning supply recipe is probably my all-time favorite natural, non-toxic cleaner because it’s so satisfying how it works — it’s a Glass Cleaner! You can use this on traditional things like windows and mirrors, on your faucets, and I also love to use it on glassware that might have hard water stains because it makes them come right off, and it’s food safe. Here’s the recipe!

Non-Toxic Glass Cleaner Recipe

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.

If you’re not using this on glassware and it’s just for windows or mirrors, you can add essential oils too. The cornstarch acts as a very gentle abrasive, helping get those stubborn stains off and allowing your glassware, windows, and mirrors to really shine! I don’t think I will ever forget the first time on my glassware! I was living rural and the well water caused the harshest hard water stains, and it was so satisfying to use this to take them right off!

Recipe #3: Dusting Spray

Number three is a Dusting Spray. Every Thursday my weekly task is dusting (check out my post on my weekly tasks here) as part of my morning cleaning routine. The quick low-down on that in case you’re new here, I follow audio cleaning routines that play 1950s radio shows while guiding me through my daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks. (You can get some free episodes to try here, if you’re interested!) It only takes 30 minutes to work through the whole routine. ANYWAYS, long story short, as part of the routine on Thursdays, 15 minutes is dedicated to dusting, and I LOVE to use this spray. So here it is…

Natural Dusting Spray Recipe

  • 1 and 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup Vinegar,
  • 1 drop of dish soap
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil.

This is such a nice, gentle, all purpose dusting spray to use. To counteract the vinegar, if you’re using it on furniture or stone, it does have the olive oil in it. But I do have a specific furniture polish for wood furniture recipe, and stone/granite cleaner in my printable cleaning sticker recipes. (Check those out here)

And those are my natural cleaning recipes!
